On the menu: EMPANADAS
(mushroom & chard) Our South American inspired empanada meal is one of our most popular meals. Each empanada comes with a seasonal side SALAD and a side of home made chimichurri sauce. Our empanadas are hand made and filled with sautéed mushrooms, chard grown in the Willard garden and brimming with Monterey Jack and Parmesan cheese! Empanada Ingredients: Mushrooms, chard, Monterey Jack Cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt. Pastry dough: flour, salt, sugar, butter, vinegar, eggs Chimichurri ingredients: cilantro, parsley, garlic, oregano, chili flakes, red wine vinegar, olive oil Salad Ingredients: Romaine lettuce, arugula, radish & carrot with a balsamic vinaigrette. Balsamic Vinaigrette Ingredients: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon, salt & pepper. |

Growing Leaders is a youth gardening and cooking entrepreneurship program based at Willard Middle School and Berkeley Technology Academy in Berkeley, California. We offer programming for ages 11-18, from 6th grade cooking and gardening and the 7th & 8th grade business elective, to our high school internship program and summer program.
