About Growing Leaders
Growing Leaders supports students to showcase the best of who they are. Using the unconventional and hands-on classroom of the kitchen and garden, Growing Leaders develops a college and career pathway, starting at Willard Middle School. Meeting students at their development needs, our pathway has many entry points: 6th grade cooking and gardening, Growing Leaders 7th & 8th Grade elective, teen summer employment and high school internships. |
Growing Leaders Elective7th and 8th grade students run a farm-to-fork business and learn skills such as: financing, budgeting, branding, and marketing. Students produce bi-monthly meals for sale to the community, raising funds that support the program.
